WebAug 9, 2024 · Check the stl surface with paraview before going on. Then make a regular mesh with blockMesh that encloses your fracture. Make the final mesh with snappyHexMesh using the stl file for the surface. That will keep most of the cells hexahedral. Run checkMesh to make sure its OK. Perhaps dt is too big.
